Dear Parents,

Holy Week is the most important week in the life of the Church. The faith of all Christians rely on what happened during this week especially Easter Sunday. This is history and our religious belief. The celebrations that occur this week are beautiful and special. I encourage you to model the faith by attending the special celebrations listed below:

  • Holy Thursday: Chrism Mass
    • The Baptism, Confirmation, and Anointing of the Sick oils are presented.
    • Washing of the Feet
    • Adoration
  • Good Friday: Crucifixion of Jesus
    • Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion (no mass)
    • Veneration of the Cross
    • Leave in silence
  • Holy Saturday
    • RCIY students receive the sacraments
      • Baptism
      • Confirmation
      •  Communion
  • Easter Sunday (Holy Day of Obligation: a day that you must attend mass)
    • Resurrection Sunday
