Religion:

8th: Eighth graders will be culminating all they have learned about the Liturgical year with prayer services dedicated to each of the major liturgical celebrations. It will be a beautiful activity created by each group to honor and celebrate our Faith.

7th: Seventh graders will culminate their year of learning with a beautiful Interfaith Service Project where they will give grocery gift cards, serve and have lunch with the homeless and hunger challenged in Los Angeles. This year we have focused on the teachings of Jesus and the Spiritual and Corporal works of Mercy.

6th: Sixth graders will culminate their year of learning the Old Testament by picking their favorite Old Testament figure to write a one-page report and present the highlights of that figures life to the class.

Social Studies:

8th: Eighth graders will culminate their understanding of the Constitution with highlighting the Bill of Rights. They will present the symbolism of each bill and give examples of cases past and present, and discuss the effects of the bills in their lives.

7th: Seventh graders will culminate their understanding of cultures of the world with an International Day. Each student will bring in a food item from the country and culture they have chosen for the entire class to sample. They may wear the traditional clothing of the country and bring in the traditional music.

6th: Sixth graders will culminate their understanding of the legacy of ancient worlds with creating a Legacy Poster of their own. They will list five things they would like to accomplish that might have a lasting effect on society. They will decorate their poster with designs or drawings. Perhaps it will be a reality someday!

Blessings,
